The Wedding

The day started with a storm with a lot of rain and wind however by lunch time it cleared and the sun even appeared in time for the ceremony.

Dressed in our Alice in Wonderland inspired outfits Noel wore his waistcoat,  Alice in Wonderland tie, pocket watch and had my Alice in Wonderland fascinator we headed down the road to the Ballygally Castle for the wedding with Caroline,  Tyler and Helen.

Clare look stunning as she followed behind her bridesmaids and page boys. All the young girls looked gorgeous in the beautiful dresses and the boys very cute in their shots and braces.  On her dads arm Clare was all smiles. She entered to the sound of a harpest singing At Last by Etta James.

The ceremony over due to the weather we headed inside to the sound of bagpipes for drinks and snacks.  There was a cartoonist doing charatures so Noel and I, Caroline and Tyler had one done.

We took a walk around the beautiful gardens of the hotel and took the trip up the turret to the ghost room to see if the ghost was home.

The reception room looked amazing.  The attention to detail was incredible.  Clare had outdone herself. Teapots,  teacups, rabbits,  pocket watches,  books,  cards,  flamingos for centerpieces all made the tables look incredible.

The cake looked and tasted amazing and made by Clare herself.

Speeches done next was dinner which was four courses and the Irish Free Range Chicken and Prime Sirloin of Northern Irish Beef where delicious.  Zesty lemon tart and a caramel fudge meringue as a dou dessert, yum yummy yum. Today also is Clare's parents 40th Wedding Anniversary.

After dinner we moved into the side room for coffee and cake while they transferred the room. Here they also had a photo booth set up.and not to forget the candy bar with both Australian and Irish candy. Clare and Brad performed their first dance which was a fabulous choreography.   The band was great and everyone danced the night away.

What a wonderful wedding for a very loving, generous and amazing couple.
