Ballygally NI to Rosscommon RI

Today we said farewell to Ballygally and Northern Ireland and headed to Rosscommon in the Republic of Ireland. It is a beautiful sunny morning and we will miss the wonderful view.

On the way we stopped at the Toome Canal which is where they filmed Old Valyria,  Essos for Game of Thrones. Seeing Drogon flying overhead Tyrion and Jorah  are suddenly attracted by Stone Men as they sail to Mereen in Season 5 episode 5.
We stopped at the old Lock Master's house now a tea room for a pot of tea and scones before taking the walk down the canal path to see Lough Neagh.

We then drive to Enniskillen to the Blake's of the Hollow pub to see door 4 and have some lunch.   This door has dragons and accurately echo's the House Targaryen's  return to power at the close of episode 4. Nearby is Pollnagollurn Cave however we have still a long drive so we didn't visit the site.
In the fourth episode, the cave is used as the hollow hill, the hideout behind a waterfall, where Arya Stark and Gendry meet Beric Dondarrion and the ‘Brotherhood Without Banners’ and are escorted to this secret hideout with the Hound.

We then headed for Rosscommon which is in the Republic of Ireland.  On the way to our accommodation at Gleenson's Restaurant & Rooms which is on the Market Square in the heart of the city.  On the way we saw the Elphin Windmill. We now are back to the metric system and need to get some euros while we are here.
Tomorrow we will visit a couple of the castles in the area before driving to Galway.
